Me interesó involucrarme en este proyecto que invita a relacionar la dimensión histórica de la figura de Carrera desde un sentido de contemporaneidad, donde los cruces entre patrimonio, arte y los diferentes saberes y oficios, permiten acceder a nuestra historia desde la vigencia y desde las múltiples lecturas que requiere, sobre todo en un contexto como el actual. Por otro lado, el osario/objeto busca ser un soporte de memoria, y a su vez un dispositivo que permita reforzar la identidad de las personas que habitan el lugar donde este se emplaza; la comuna de El Monte.
I was interested in getting involved in this project that invites us to relate the historical dimension of the Carrera figure from a contemporary perspective, where the intersections between heritage, art, and different knowledge and trades allow us to access our history from its current relevance and from the multiple readings it requires, especially in a context like the current one.
On the other hand, the ossuary/object seeks to be a support for memory, and at the same time a device that allows to reinforce the identity of the people who inhabit the place where it is located; the commune of El Monte.
