El jarro sobre la mesa consiste en nueve telas sobre una alineación de mesas blancas. Las telas, pintadas a escala real, contienen la representación de nueve puntos de vista obtenibles al desplazarse en torno a un modelo fijo, en este caso, un jarro blanco sobre una mesa.

El jarro sobre la mesa no se instala en el espacio de la simulación, propio del tromp l’oeil. Tal condición es acentuada por la presencia de las mesas como un vínculo con el lugar que estos objetos ocupaban originalmente en habitaciones y baños, hasta cierta época en el mundo urbano y hasta más tarde en el mundo rural.The Jug on the Table comprises nine canvases on a row of white tables. The canvases are painted life-size and show nine points of view that can be obtained by moving around a fixed model, in this case a white jug on a table.

The Jug on the Table is not meant as a trompe l’oeil simulation, and this is brought out by the presence of the tables, which link these objects to their original settings in the bathrooms and bedrooms where they would have been found until a certain period in urban life, and a somewhat later one in rural life.
