El jarro sobre la mesa consiste en nueve telas sobre una alineación de mesas blancas. Las telas, pintadas a escala real, contienen la representación de nueve puntos de vista obtenibles al desplazarse en torno a un modelo fijo, en este caso, un jarro blanco sobre una mesa.
El jarro sobre la mesa no se instala en el espacio de la simulación, propio del tromp l’oeil. Tal condición es acentuada por la presencia de las mesas como un vínculo con el lugar que estos objetos ocupaban originalmente en habitaciones y baños, hasta cierta época en el mundo urbano y hasta más tarde en el mundo rural.The Jug on the Table comprises nine canvases on a row of white tables.
